Google Pixel 11a Leaks Suggest Camera and Performance Upgrades

Google appears to be working on its next mid-range smartphone, which will launch widely as the Pixel 11a. While the company has not officially confirmed the device, recent leaks suggest that the phone is currently under development under the codename “Formosan.” According to the leaked information, the Pixel 11a will receive noticeable improvements in both performance and camera capabilities compared to the Pixel 10a.

The smartphone will feature Google’s upcoming Tensor G6 processor, bringing flagship-level performance to the company’s affordable A-series lineup. It will also include LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, offering faster multitasking and improved storage speeds.

One of the biggest highlights of the leaked specifications is an upgraded front-facing camera. There are no exact details about the sensor, reports suggest that Google is focusing on improving selfie quality. The rear camera setup will remain a dual-camera system, continuing the design seen on previous Pixel A-series devices.

The Pixel 11a will also feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and a peak brightness of up to 3,350 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use and smoother everyday performance.

In terms of design, Google is unlikely to make major changes. Leaks indicate that the phone will retain the familiar Pixel look with a matte plastic back, an aluminum frame, and the signature vertically aligned dual-camera module.

While the upcoming Tensor G6 chipset will deliver better efficiency and faster performance, some reports suggest Google may slightly reduce the battery capacity compared to the Pixel 10a. However, Google has not officially confirmed this information.
