Meccha Chameleon receives constant support via various patches that add new maps, game rules, poses, and body types to the game alongside various fixes and optimizations.

July 20, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 3.0.0

  • Added new official map “Greece”

July 19, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.9.0

  • Glow-in-the-dark paint is now available.
  • Slightly improved paint performance.
  • Adjusted the volume of the HIKAKIN Museum exclusive taunt sound.

July 17, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.8.0

  • Added a new map, “Death Burger”
  • Inappropriate words, or words prohibited from being shown on stream in certain regions, are now blocked in nameplates and text chat
  • Fixed an issue where the spectator UI could not be hidden using the Control+Shift+H command
  • Fixed an issue where buttons became unclickable if the Mod download screen appeared while in Paint Mode

July 12, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.7.0

  • New official map “Egypt” has been added.
  • When playing on random maps, you can now toggle ON/OFF whether to include each map in the lottery. Collaboration maps are set to OFF by default.
  • Added random elements to the official map “Penguin Hotel”.
  • Fixed an issue where players could get stuck too deeply into walls on the official map “HIKAKIN Museum”.

July 10, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.6.0

  • Added the collaboration map “HIKAKIN Museum”
    • Special collaboration-exclusive gimmicks are available.
  • Controller support alpha version (UI operation is not supported)
  • Added Japan, South Korea, and East Asia to the region tags
  • Fixed an issue where the collision detection did not disappear when the clone was hidden
  • Adjusted the Hunter’s field of view (FOV) from 100 to 105

July 4, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.5.0

  • Reworked the official map “Osaka”
  • Improved the resolution of the paint brush
  • Added an experimental color palette for upcoming controller support
  • Improved the stability of the 3D color picker
  • Fixed an issue where collision detection still applied to invisible players in “Gyakusan Chicken Race” (Reverse Chicken Race)
  • Fixed an issue where the displayed paint in “Gyakusan Chicken Race” was occasionally not synchronized

July 3, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.4.1

  • Reduced the points awarded to the player who discovered the countdown in the Reverse Chicken Race from 1000 to 500.
  • Fixed an issue in the Reverse Chicken Race where the turn would not change even if a player who dropped out midway was discovered.
  • Changed UI buttons so they can no longer be selected using the spacebar.

July 2, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.4.0

  • Added a new mode: “Reverse Chicken Race”
  • Deduce the hidden player’s identity from their body paint, find them first, and rack up those points! If you’re the one hiding, earn points by staying unnoticed!
  • The player with the most points wins!
  • Allowed Hunters to use the free camera during the answer reveal.
  • Fixed an issue where forcing a Mod map to start would cause the game to launch mid-match.

July 2, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.3.2

  • Added “In-place Rotation.” Can be used in conjunction with “Rotation Lock.”
  • Changed so that it automatically switches when the spectated target disappears.
  • Fixed an issue where the nameplate display status would reset.
  • Fixed a translation error on the Korean server creation screen.
  • Reduced lag caused when a large number of players paint at the same time.
  • Fixed an issue where the climbing ring remained visible when transitioning to spectating while it was displayed.

June 29, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.3.0

  • Added ammo limits for Hunters (Can be toggled in options)
    • 1 ammo is consumed on a miss, and 1 ammo is restored on a hit.
    • No ammo is consumed when shooting at fleeing players.
    • If all Hunters run out of ammo, the Hiders win.
  • Increased the maximum number of server tags to 5
  • Fixed an issue where duplicate server tags could be set
  • Fixed an issue where the Body Type UI could not be closed when becoming a Hunter
  • Fixed an issue where “Hunter Victory” was displayed under all conditions
  • Fixed an issue where clones did not disappear instantly in modes other than Double Mode

June 28, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.2.0

  • Randomization has been introduced for furniture and other elements in the “Hide-and-Seek Mansion” map. This random element is planned to be applied to all maps in the future.
  • Added 1.4x and 1.7x size options for the character “Cube.”
  • Fixed an issue where the game would become unresponsive if the body type selection screen opened while in paint mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would not end if it started after a hunter disconnected.
  • Fixed an issue where characters with a scale of 1.4x or larger would get stuck on stairs.
  • Changed the system to save data locally if cloud saving fails.
  • Fixed an issue where loading would trigger when attempting to join an inaccessible server.

June 27, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.1.0

  • Total number of discoveries is now displayed

June 26, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.0.0

  • You can now create clones (Up to 2 clones).
    • Clones count toward the blind spot metrics. If a clone is destroyed, the main body is also destroyed.
  • Added TPS view for Hunters.
  • Added “Modded” to server tags.
  • Added Turkish.
  • Fixed an issue where the Mod requirement screen overlapped with the hidden character selection screen.

June 24, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 1.9.0

  • New character “Cube” has been added.
  • Characters can now be selected individually before starting the game.
  • The selected map can now be confirmed before starting the game.
  • Hiding players’ positions are now less likely to desynchronize.
  • Fixed an issue where some poses would stop midway.
  • The hunter’s shotgun firing delay has been increased from 1.5s to 2.0s.

June 21, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 1.6.0

  • Added an option to change the size of the Hiders.
  • Implemented countermeasures for the cloud save error.
  • Fixed an issue where already-found players would reappear during the search phase.
  • Fixed an issue where Seekers who failed to load the map could clip through it and eliminate players.

June 20, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 1.5.0

  • During the answer reveal, you can now press “Like” for hidden players. It can be pressed once per match, and the number of “Likes” is saved forever.
  • You can no longer obtain missed points if you are moving.
  • Changed the emission color during the answer reveal time. Undiscovered: Red, Discovered: Blue

  • Fixed an issue where detected players might not be deleted after a certain period of time.
