Hey folks, A couple of months ago, I launched Self, a tool that turns a CV or resume into a personal website in under a minute. You can upload a PDF, text file, image, or LinkedIn profile, and Self extracts the information and publishes the site on a self.cv subdomain. You can already create something similar with tools like Canva or a website builder, but you still need to spend time choosing a layout, copying everything manually, and making design decisions. That can be tedious, and the result often depends on how comfortable you are with design. I built Self to make that process much simpler and more automatic. The websites also support images in the projects section, so the product can work for people in visual fields such as design and architecture, as well as professionals who mainly want a clean online version of their CV. There is a free plan, so anyone can create a website and keep it online forever. I would appreciate any feedback on the product, especially the onboarding process and the websites it generates.
