Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts Confirmed for PS5 and Xbox With New Features

Join the Naval Warfare in Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts

Samustai has officially announced that Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles, bringing its deep naval strategy gameplay to a new audience. The console release has been rebuilt with several platform-specific improvements. This will allow players to design powerful warships, command fleets, and relive historic naval battles with smoother performance and refined controls.

One of the biggest upgrades is the improvement in the water system, creating more realistic waves and ocean foam that make sea battles look more immersive than ever. The developers also introduced controller support built specifically for gamepads, allowing players to manage fleets comfortably from the couch. In addition, they reduced loading times, optimized performance for large-scale battles, and fixed numerous bugs, improving overall stability and delivering a more polished experience.

Beyond technical upgrades, the console version includes a reworked gameplay experience inspired by the popular DIP Classic 1.3.3 mod, developed with support from Brother Munro’s team. The overhaul rebalances naval combat, artillery, torpedoes, armor penetration, flooding, fires, and damage systems while also refining technologies, campaign economies, AI behavior, and Naval Academy scenarios.

Ship customization has also received significant attention, with updated ship parts, including turrets, funnels, barbettes, and superstructures. The devs reworked the costs, weight, placement restrictions, and overall balance to make fleet design more strategic. Players who prefer the original gameplay can disable the overhaul at any time and enjoy the standard version instead.

Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox soon, so make sure to keep an eye out!
