CEO: Connected Factories and Hospitals Expose Legacy OT Systems to Modern Threats
Physical artificial intelligence powers robotics, automated manufacturing, healthcare operations and data center infrastructure by translating AI-driven decisions into physical processes, said Claroty CEO Yaniv Vardi.

AI will drive the next wave of industrial transformation, making cyber-physical security more central to enterprise operations because digital attacks can now have direct physical consequences, he said. As factories, hospitals and other critical infrastructure become more connected, previously isolated industrial control systems never designed for modern cyberthreats are exposed, Vardi said (see: Claroty Gets $150M to Lead in AI for Infrastructure Security).
“AI is really providing the ability for these digital logic aspects to take the physical actions and make it happen, make it real,” Vardi said. “Robotics becoming a big thing, and I think there will be a market of about $35 billion in the next seven years around the robotics that is mostly driven by physical AI. And I do think that’s the next generation of the AI revolution.”
