Samsung unveils Galaxy Z8 Series in PH, now available for pre-order
No two smartphone users are exactly alike, and Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z series embraces that idea. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, the company is introducing three foldables—the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8—each designed for a different way of experiencing mobile technology.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 introduces a new form factor to Samsung’s foldable lineup, sitting between the book-style Fold8 Ultra and the compact Flip8. Designed as a more streamlined alternative, it combines a lighter build (201g) with a larger display for everyday use.
The Z Fold8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy and comes with a 4800mAh battery. Its 10:16 cover display is suited for quick tasks such as messaging and browsing, while the larger 4:3 main screen provides more space for reading, streaming, and gaming. It also features dual 50MP cameras, along with Dual Recording and My FanCam for capturing photos and videos.
For users whose smartphones double as creative studios and mobile workstations, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra brings Samsung’s flagship Ultra experience into a foldable design. At its core is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, paired with a 5000mAh battery, 45W fast charging, and an upgraded cooling system to handle demanding workloads.
Its expansive 8-inch main display offers more room for multitasking, while a 200MP primary camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, improved Nightography, 8K video recording via the APV codec, and Cine LUT tools cater to creators looking to produce professional-quality content on the go.
Despite its large battery and performance-focused hardware, the Fold8 Ultra measures just 4.1mm when unfolded and weighs 215g, making it Samsung’s slimmest Z Fold yet.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8 continues to appeal to users who value portability and personal style without sacrificing functionality. Powered by the Exynos 2600, the compact foldable weighs 180g and measures just 6.1mm thin while introducing an upgraded AI-powered FlexWindow that places apps, notifications, and Gemini Intelligence within easy reach, even when the device remains closed.
The Flip8 also enhances Samsung’s signature Flip camera experience with a 50MP sensor powered by ProVisual Engine, alongside features such as Flex Mode, Camcorder Grip with Zoom Rocker, Super Steady with Horizontal Lock, and FlipShot for more expressive hands-free photography and videos.
Across all three devices, Samsung has placed Galaxy AI at the center of the experience. Features including Now Brief, Now Nudge, and Gemini Intelligence are optimized for each foldable form factor, making it easier to surface personalized insights, complete tasks across apps, and organize content with fewer steps.
Samsung also continues to strengthen its privacy and security framework through Samsung Knox, the Personal Data Engine, Knox Vault, and new AI transparency controls that give users greater visibility into how their information is processed.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 are now available for pre-order. All models are available in Graphite and Cream, with Violet Shadow exclusive to Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Lavender to Galaxy Z Fold8 and Pink to Galaxy Z Flip8.
