Connecting promising local companies with investors

‘LIPS Investor Day’ is a program in which promising small business owners and startups in the Gangwon region meet directly with professional investment institutions, such as venture capital (VC) firms and accelerators (ACs), to have their corporate competitiveness verified and explore investment possibilities.

A total of 31 people attended the event, including 14 officials from investment institutions and the Gangwon Innovation Center, and 17 representatives from participating companies. Seven specialized investment firms, including Kangwon National University Technology Holdings, Company X, Sopung Ventures, Digital Healthcare Partners (DHP), Star Ventures, and the Impact Foundation, participated to review the business performance and growth potential of the companies.

The event began with an introduction to the LIPS program and a guide to investment institutions, followed by IR presentations from six companies: Nolwise Solution, Action Two Today, Robcall, HMD Science, Tround, and Ivy Makers.

Following the IR presentations, one-on-one customized investment consultations took place involving 13 participating companies and investment analysts. The consultations focused on business feasibility assessments, investment attraction strategies, and market entry plans.

The Gangwon Innovation Center plans to regularly operate a monthly Investor Day to continuously expand exchanges between investors and local companies and strengthen the foundation for attracting investment for local startups.

Lee Hae-jeong, CEO of the Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center, said, “LIPS Investor Day is an important opportunity for promising companies in the Gangwon region to meet directly with professional investment institutions and secure growth engines,” adding, “We will continue to provide follow-up support to ensure that local companies lead to actual investment attraction.”
