Fortnite Web-Shooters Returning – Iconic Mobility Returning

The Fortnite Web-Shooters are coming back to the game! According to leakers, Epic is bringing back one of the most iconic mobility items we’ve ever seen. In a bigger return, not just an item over Power Hour like we’ve seen more recently. Instead, it’s going to be a huge collab coming for the Spider-Man Fortnite crossover. Another collab for the release of the latest movie. What exactly is coming?

The Web-Shooters were first introduced back in Chapter 3. That Chapter began with a Spider-man season. A Spider-Man skin that’s gone on to be one of the best remembered, and often quoted in complaints about Battle Pass exclusivity. But there were also these items. Plus, the Daily Bugle.

In the lead up to a new Spider-Man movie coming out, we’ve gotten the beginnings of a new Spider-Man collab. There are already some teasers with posters printed over buildings on the map. A full collab is coming. We are expecting it to be a bit smaller this time around than back in Chapter 3. but it’ll still be a fun crossover in the game.

One of the most exciting chances will definitely be the Fortnite Web-Shooters returning. We’ve had similar items in and out over the years, but the OG web-shooters have been missing for a long time. Instead, it’s been nerfed versions for most of their recent returns. Getting them back in full is going to be a lot of fun. This is how the Fortnite Web-Shooters are going to work and what will change in the next update:

Fortnite Web-Shooters Coming Back to the Game

In the next Fortnite update, we’ll get a batch of Spider-Man content. This is coming to mark the release of a new Spider-Man movie. We’ll be getting new skins in the game but also these Spider-Man collab items making a comeback. The Fortnite Web-Shooters will be a big change to the game’s meta though.

These items are expected to come back in a similar form to the original collab. Spread all over the map will be Peter Parker’s backpacks. Located inside small Spider-Webs in hard-to-reach spots around the map. To recreate how Spider-Man stashes his stuff around the city. Similar to the way collectibles worked with the PS4 Spider-Man game. Open them up and you’ll get Fortnite Web-Shooters items. Sometimes minis but mainly the Web-Slingers.

In the past, the Fortnite Web-Shooters weren’t a 100% spawn rate. You had to get lucky with where they spawned. Since they were basically a must-carry. We’re expecting something similar when they come back to the game. The spawn points will be spread out, but common enough for a lot of players to track them down.

The big question is if they’ll be the original versions of the Fortnite Web-Shooters. Or the newer nerfed equivalents.

Will it Be the Nerfed Fortnite Web-Shooters?

The new Fortnite Web-Shooters could be closer to the original versions from the older seasons. They allowed you to web around pretty much as much as you wanted. There were limited uses, and a cooldown once you land, but it was all so high it didn’t matter. You pretty much always had webs.

Since the Grapple Glove (A re-skin without the Fortnite collab features) came back, it’s been a bit heavier nerfed. It gets way fewer uses. it’s a tad slower. It isn’t as acrobatic.

So will the upcoming Fortnite Web-Shooters be the original or the nerfed ones? We don’t know yet. But since it’s the Grapple Glove that’s had the biggest nerfs, it might be closer to the original. Collab items are typically more overpowered. Since this will just be a fun inclusion for the final few weeks of the season, it won’t particularly hurt to get the full Fortnite Web-Shooters in the game. We’re also expecting some other elements to celebrate the new collab too.

Skins and More Coming

Alongside those features, the new Fortnite Web-Shooters will arrive with some skins. The latest Spider-Man movie will be getting a fresh collab. Typically, Marvel movie get skins. This one isn’t an exception. Even though we already have multiple Spider-Man skins in the game, and even a Tom Holland Spider-Man specifically.

A new skin featuring the brand-new Spider-Man suit design for this movie will be featured in Fortnite. We might even get some more skins of different characters from the movie, like a villain or other character. This hasn’t been fully explained in the leaks yet. We’ll have to wait and see what happens after the Fortnite update for what skins will arrive. It’ll probably be a little different from the collab in past Fortnite seasons, maybe with the recent inclusions of Pen and Ink skins.
