Empowering Minds, Transforming Lives: A Global MOOC on the Ethics of
UNESCO and LG AI Research have partnered on “Empowering Minds, Transforming Lives” Project, to develop a Global Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on the Ethics of AI. The initiative is designed to build capacity and awareness among AI practitioners worldwide, in line with UNESCO’s mission to promote inclusive, ethical, and equitable technology development.
The MOOC is more than a course — it is intended to cultivate a global community of practitioners committed to embedding an “ethics-by-design” approach into their work, understanding ethics not as a compliance checkbox but as a method for building systems that maximise public value and minimise harm.
