Japanese fighting game for Switch 2 requires you put a Joy-Con in your pants and enter the “Butt Ass Zone,” which isn’t what you think it is

The Japanese fighting game Ketsu Battler, or “Butt Battler” in English, makes you put a Joy-Con in your pants in order to play it, which I guess I’m supposed to be happy about. A big update due July 30 will make it so players should shake the Joy-Con in their pants extra hard to be truly strong and win the game.

Last summer, Ketsu Battler devs warned Switch 2 players that the game originally made for Nintendo Switch might make their butts that have Joy-Cons in them “unexpectedly overpowered” due to the platform’s increased processing ability. This year, spotted and translated by Automaton, developer KAYAC is actually intentionally increasing the “aura” of your bottom with the new “Butt Ass Zone” mechanic.
