Hoverdrone flying car concept

Please critique my design for this concept vehicle that has a hovercraft mode and a flight mode. I can share all my original, ugly, sketches but I did use ChatGPT to render them and make them presentable.
Specs and a diagram on the fan pods is shown on the blueprint. Gimbal-mounted fans on each corner of the vehicle provide vertical lift and forward and turning thrust. A fifth fan on the rear of the vehicle provides only forward thrust (yes, the diagrams don’t show an air intake).
Telescoping shrouds extend down to provide a hovercraft style high-pressure pocket.
The design assumes in the 10 years before this vehicle might be produced that battery technology will advance to the point that they are 20-40% lighter and 40-50% more efficient, making this vehicle, along with ultra-light materials, remotely viable.
I suspect the hover mode design is the weak point. My first draft had rubber bladders that mimicked a typical hovercraft. I’m not convinced this is better but the idea of one system that can adapt to both modes was appealing.
Hover mode can be operated by the driver or autonomously. At this time, I figure around 2039, a central traffic control system manages all aircraft, and that you will not fly this car by hand. It will be networked to that system and all cars networked together. I expect there will be virtual lanes for air traffic, and that vehicles will generally fly in a train formation, perhaps feet away from the other vehicle in front/behind; drafting.
I look forward to your critique and feedback!
