Anthropic Just Gave You More Time With Its Best AI
Anthropic has given users a little more time to try its most powerful AI model without paying extra. The company extended free promotional access to Claude Fable 5 through July 19, 2026, pushing back the original cutoff. So anyone on a paid plan gets a longer window to put the flagship model through its paces.
The offer covers a broad slice of Anthropic’s paying customers. It applies to Pro, Max, Team, and premium seats on Enterprise plans, wherever an organization has enabled it. During the promotion, subscribers can spend up to half of their weekly usage limit on Fable 5 at no additional charge. There is nothing to claim or activate, since the access simply appears inside the plan.
We’re extending Claude Fable 5 access on all paid plans, as well as keeping Claude Code’s weekly rate limits 50% higher, through July 19.

Fable 5 is Anthropic’s newest and most capable model, so the trial carries real weight. Users can reach it across the web, mobile, desktop, Claude Code, Cowork, and Design, among other surfaces. The catch is that Fable 5 burns through usage limits faster than other Claude models, which reflects its heavier capability. Once someone hits the halfway mark, they can either switch models or pay for more through usage credits.
Anthropic sweetened the extension with a second perk. It also stretched a 50% increase to Claude Code weekly usage limits through the same July 19 date. That pairing clearly targets developers, who lean on Claude Code for agentic coding and stand to gain the most from extra headroom.
You can access Claude Fable 5 on:
- Claude on the web
- Claude Mobile
- Claude Desktop
- Claude Cowork
- Claude Code
- Claude Design
- Claude for Microsoft 365
- Claude for Teams
- Claude Tag
In Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, and Claude Mobile, select “Fable 5” from the model picker. In Claude Code, Fable 5 requires version 2.1.170 or later. To use Fable 5 in Claude Cowork, you need to be on the latest version of Claude Desktop.
The timing fits a fiercely competitive stretch for AI. Rivals like OpenAI and Google have shipped major model updates in recent weeks, so keeping users engaged matters more than ever. By dangling its best model for free a little longer, Anthropic is betting that hands-on time converts into loyalty. For Pakistani developers and subscribers, it is a genuine chance to test frontier AI before committing more money.
