Truth & Hair Raises ₹5.4 Crore Seed Funding Led by Inflection Point Ventures to Expand Hair Beauty Brand

Hair beauty and styling brand Truth & Hair has raised ₹5.4 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The startup also gained national attention after appearing on Shark Tank India Season 5, where it secured an on-air investment offer from Varun Alagh, Co-founder of Mamaearth.

The newly raised capital will be used to strengthen the brand’s position in the hair makeup and styling segment, accelerate product innovation, expand marketing initiatives, and scale its distribution network across India.

Founded in 2024 by Saumya Alagh and Shailesh Singh, Gurugram-based Truth & Hair is a direct-to-consumer (D2C) hair beauty brand focused on redefining hair styling beyond conventional shampoo and conditioner products.

Its product portfolio includes innovative offerings such as the Root Touch Up Hair Mascara, 3-in-1 Curly Styler, and Flyaway Wand, catering to consumers with straight, wavy, and curly hair. The company emphasizes formulations that address multiple hair textures, making its products suitable for a broader range of users.

Truth & Hair says its products are built on science-backed formulations with the aim of making premium hair styling and hair makeup solutions more accessible to Indian consumers.

The funding comes at a time when India’s hair care and styling market is witnessing significant growth. According to market research, the sector was valued at $5.85 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $8.93 billion by 2029, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8%.

With fresh capital and growing consumer interest in specialized beauty products, Truth & Hair is looking to strengthen its market presence and capitalize on the increasing demand for innovative hair care and styling solutions in India.
