ApeCoin: ApeChain migrates its stablecoin to USDC

ApeCoin says ApeChain is migrating its stablecoin of choice from apeUSD to USDC on 31 Jul 2026, with additional USDC liquidity backing ApeCoin on ApeChain.

The change gives APE a deeper stated liquidity base on ApeChain and simplifies stablecoin access for ecosystem users. With USDC as the designated stablecoin, users have a clearer asset for entering the ecosystem and trading, while added liquidity can support more efficient swaps and DeFi activity around APE.

The operational effect is concentrated on ApeChain. The migration changes the stablecoin used there, but the announcement itself establishes availability and stated backing rather than demonstrated growth in trading or DeFi usage.
