Riyadh Air to Launch Direct Flights to Pakistan in August

Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, Riyadh Air, will begin operations to Pakistan in August 2026, launching direct flights to Islamabad and Lahore as part of its international network expansion.

The airline opened reservations for both routes on July 30 and will operate the services using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet.

The Riyadh–Islamabad route will commence on August 14, with daily flights (seven per week) connecting the capitals of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Riyadh–Lahore service will begin on August 18, operating three flights per week.

The new routes are expected to strengthen air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, providing additional travel options for business travelers, tourists, overseas Pakistanis, and pilgrims.

Riyadh Air has been expanding its international route network as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader aviation development strategy. The addition of Islamabad and Lahore reflects the growing demand for travel between the two countries and is expected to enhance passenger convenience while supporting closer economic and people-to-people ties.
