Astralis Outclass PaiN Gaming To Reach BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 Semis
Astralis required a reverse sweep to take down paiN Gaming, in a series that threatened to go 2:0 the other way. In the end, it was the Danish organization that came back from the brink to win a place in the Semi-Finals of BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026.

It was clear from the outset that Astralis were going to have to work for their win here. A difficult 6:6 CT side on Nuke is not what they needed to start off this series, but it was the hand they dealt themselves. A particularly rough showing out of Staehr meant there was no route to victory on Nuke – 13:10 to paiN Gaming.
A marathon Inferno would follow, where Staehr went from bottom-to-top fragger with 35. Despite a stellar effort for piriajr on the other side of the server, Astralis were able to tie up the series in double OT with a 19:17 score. You felt here that there was a world in which paiN got this done in two – just not this one.
It would all come down to Mirage, where Astralis found a very early match point at 12:7. Even then, they could not close in regulation – five straight paiN Gaming rounds dragging it to yet another overtime. This time, though, Astralis kept their cool at the first time of asking, eventually able to see it out 16:14 and secure the Semi-Finals of BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026.
