has shut down its network after detecting a cybersecurity incident.

The company took its systems offline as a precaution and is working with external cybersecurity specialists to investigate, contain and remediate the incident. TruStage’s website continues to display a notice stating that it is experiencing a systems outage and that its teams are working on a resolution.

The disruption is affecting services provided through credit union partners. First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union notified members that TruStage was temporarily unavailable, including for claims involving GAP insurance, mechanical repair coverage and payment protection products.

TruStage has not disclosed when the incident began, how its systems were compromised, whether customer data was accessed or when services are expected to be restored. The company has also not said whether the incident involves ransomware.
