Osborne Clarke advises dsm-firmenich Ventures on its investment in Nous
Osborne Clarke advised dsm-firmenich on its seed investment in Nous, an Italian start-up specialising in the development of innovative functional ingredients for the food, beverage and nutraceutical sectors.
The investment is aimed at accelerating the development and commercialisation of Koncentra, a proprietary botanical ingredient designed for the energy and wellbeing segment.
The transaction involved Foodtech Accelerator, an investment vehicle established by CDP Venture Capital and Eatable Adventures, alongside Accelera Ventures, as part of FoodSeed – the AgrifoodTech acceleration programme of the CDP Venture Capital National Network, implemented with the support of Eatable Adventures (and Accelera Ventures) – together with dsm-firmenich Ventures. The funds raised will support the target company’s industrial and commercial growth, expanding its international supply chain and marking the entry of Nous’s botanical functional ingredient into the US market.
Osborne Clarke advised dsm-firmenich Ventures on all aspects of the transaction, with a team led by partner Giuliano Lanzavecchia, assisted by junior associate Martina Serbelloni.
