Marvel Rivals is sending us to Egypt, and Hela is getting a glow-up

Set your alarms and get your hero rosters ready, because NetEase is dropping a fresh update for Marvel Rivals. The patch officially goes live July 23rd without any server downtime, so you can jump right in and check out all the shiny new content.
While this particular patch leaves character balance tweaks on the back burner, it packs plenty of reasons to get hyped. We are getting a brand-new Convoy map, an extended event grind, and enough cosmetics to make your hero look like a million bucks.
Welcome to Thebes, Mind the Giant Pyramid
The star of the show this update is definitely Thebes, a stunning new Convoy map set in a desert landscape. According to the lore, the map features two massive monuments separated by a sea of sand: Apocalypse’s Pyramid and the Temple of Khonshu.
The story vibe here is pretty dramatic. Khonshu is losing his power and trying to reclaim his stolen faith, while Moon Knight is out here demanding answers before the Faith-Harvesting Engine takes over.
In actual gameplay terms, you are going to be pushing or stopping a payload through ancient Egyptian architecture, dodging sniper fire around massive stone pillars, and trying not to get knocked off into the dunes.

Blood Hunt Gets a Major Upgrade and More Floor-Grinding
If you have been enjoying the Blood Hunt mode, good news, because NetEase is letting the party run a whole lot longer. The double XP boost is running all the way until October 5, and the main Blood Hunt event will hang around until October 9.
They are also adding some neat mechanics to make your hero feel wildly overpowered. You can now enhance your gear for bigger stat boosts, and use gear refining to reroll stats until your build is chef’s kiss perfect. Enemies will now drop a new item called Dew of Insight for instant XP bursts during combat.
Plus, the Nightmare difficulty has been expanded all the way up to Floor 300. If you manage to clear Floor 260 with any hero, you get a sweet payout of 100 Units for your trouble.
Hela Goes Full Goddess and Psylocke Loses the Chin Decor
The in-game shop is getting a serious restock, and the fashion police are going to love this one.
Hela is receiving the Consort of Khonshu Bundle, complete with Midnight Moon and Sapphire Shadow chromas, along with a custom visual effect for her ultimate ability. Meanwhile, Psylocke gets the Pinned Butterfly Bundle.
The real MVP feature of Psylocke’s new outfit is a toggle option that lets you remove her chin decoration if you prefer a cleaner look. Speaking of visual toggles, NetEase is also adding a master setting for Team-Up visual effects, letting you turn them off globally or tailor them hero by hero so your screen does not look like a fireworks factory exploded.
Throw in a couple of quick bug fixes for the UI and Punisher’s Culling Turret ammo counter, and you have got a solid mid-season patch. Time to rally the squad and start cart-pushing through the sand.
