When Stupid Never Dies was originally announced in December 2025, GPTRACK50 was described in a press release as a “Netease studio”. It’s worth noting that today’s announcement seems to have no mention of NetEase, with GPTRACK50 now described as an “independent studio”. When we reached out to a PR representative for clarification, we were told “no comment”.
Alongside the release date announcement, GPTRACK50 has revealed the game’s Opening Theme, Ending Theme, and purchase editions. The Standard Edition will be priced at $49.99, with a special edition priced at $59.99 called the Stupid Never Dies: Glorious Idiot Edition. This edition comes with the game’s first DLC, called TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack, which adds various cosmetic effects and music remixes to the game. Details about the Nonsense Overload Pack can be found in the press release below.
The game’s Opening Theme (“Stupid Never Dies”) and Ending Theme (“Restless, Reckless, Never Die, Fearless”) are performed by the game’s protagonists, Davy and Julia. Both tracks will be available to stream on August 4 via Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and other music streaming platforms.
At Summer Game Fest 2026, we had a chance to speak with GPTRACK50 director Eiichiro Sasaki and studio head Hiroyuki Kobayashi about the upcoming game. Hiroyuki Kobayashi is a former Capcom producer who has worked on franchises such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Mega Man.
A release date trailer, DLC trailer, Opening Theme video, Ending Theme video, description, and screenshots can be found below, via GPTRACK50.
The game will be available with English voices, alongside English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Polish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitle languages.
