Punjab Opens New E-Transfer Round for Promoted and Awaiting Posting Teachers
The Punjab School Education Department has announced a new E-Transfer round for teachers who have recently been promoted or are awaiting postings, providing eligible candidates with another opportunity to complete the posting process.
According to a notification issued on July 31, 2026, the competent authority approved the E-Transfer round to facilitate the implementation of promotions and accommodate teachers who were unable to complete the transfer process earlier.
Eligible teachers can submit their E-Transfer applications from August 3 to August 5, 2026.
The department will verify documents from August 6 to August 7, while any concerns or objections raised by applicants will be addressed on August 8. Final posting orders are scheduled to be issued on August 11, 2026.
The School Education Department has directed all Chief Executive Officers (District Education Authorities) to ensure that promoted teachers are properly tagged on the School Information System (SIS) before the transfer process.
The notification warns that promoted teachers who fail to submit the required number of posting preferences or do not submit any preferences at all will be assigned to any available vacant post through the SIS Portal.
The same policy will also apply to teachers awaiting postings. Those who do not provide the required preferences within the stipulated time will be posted by the department against available vacancies through the SIS Portal.
The latest E-Transfer round is aimed at ensuring timely placement of promoted teachers, streamlining the transfer process, and filling vacant teaching positions across Punjab’s public schools.
