Chinese humanoid robot developer LimX Dynamics has raised nearly $200 million in a pre-IPO funding round, bringing its valuation to 15 billion yuan ($2.2 billion).

The massive capital injection highlights a broader investment boom in China’s rapidly expanding embodied artificial intelligence sector, as a wave of robotics startups reach unicorn status and eye public listings.
