PlayStation Store Surprise Drops Intriguing PS5 RPG for Free
The PlayStation Store has dropped a new, free PS5 RPG, and it’s an interesting one. Developed by Cyber Apes Yacht Club and published by Eight Galaxies, Ultra Kingdoms is a multiplayer game that combines MMORPG and play-to-earn elements.
Frankly, I’m not quite sure what I’m seeing here, and the more I read about Ultra Kingdoms, the more confusing it gets.
“Ultra Kingdoms is a popular online multiverse metaverse, combining MMORPG and P2E capability where players can build and manage their own kingdoms, explore vast lands, and interact with other players in real-time,” an official description reads. “It’s known for its stunning graphics and engaging gameplay.”
I couldn’t find a recent trailer, but here’s one from September 2025:
The PS Store listing for Ultra Kingdoms carries a “beta” tag and confirms that the game is PS5 Pro enhanced. Although the game is “free,” a PS Plus subscription is required to play online.
At the time of this writing, Ultra Kingdoms holds a rating of 3.68/5 stars on the PS Store, with nearly 40 votes. It looks like the game hasn’t gone live on Steam yet, so there aren’t any ratings to see there.
