Chick-fil-A Hit With Data Breach: What We Know
Chick-fil-A was hit by a data breach last month with customers’ email addresses, mobile pay numbers and partial credit card details amongst the information potentially exposed, according to a report and details on state government websites.
The fast food chain reported the data breach in letters sent to affected customers and multiple state Attorney General offices notifying them of suspicious activity, according to technology publication Bleeping Computer, which first reported the news.
According to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 2026 Data Breach Notification Report, Chick-fil-A Inc reported the breach on July 20. The report said 39 people in the state had been affected, however, it is unclear how many customers have been impacted nationwide.
Another breach report filed in Texas, said 2,182 customers were hit.
