Crimson Desert drops a massive new trading update

Ever wished that Crimson Desert would let you be more of a wheeler-dealer? Then you’ll be happy to hear that the action-RPG’s latest update adds a massive new trading update, making it easier to earn big bucks from selling goods to this fantasy world’s inhabitants.

That’s a big deal, as far as I’m concerned. One of the marks of a good open-world game is being able to deviate from the game’s traditional path; Skyrim, for example, will happily let you become a herbalist or hunter. Now, as of this new patch, you can make big bucks from shuttling items back and forth.

Granted, you could still get murdered along the way, but Crimson Desert not only increases the amount of profit made from trading, it rewards you for transporting goods to hard-to-reach places. Royal trading posts will also pay you four times as much, a good reason to pack your wagon with all the merchandise you can carry.

Other improvements include the addition of new trade goods, and a trade map tab. If you’re a trader at heart, you’ll find developer Pearl Abyss has gone out of its way to bring your shopkeeping fantasies to life. On top of that, there are a huge number of stability and bug fixes, another good reason to dive back into the game.
