Cyberpunk 2077 gamer stuns with ‘all cyber, no punk’ playthrough
Cyberpunk 2077 fans are dumbstruck after one player shows off a build fit for a New Game+, in a game that doesn’t have a New Game+ mode…
The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is such an interesting one. Its inhabitants walk a fine line between being flesh and machine, with the richest being able to afford the best enhancements money can buy.
Throughout your playthrough, it’ll be up to you whether you partake in any of these upgrades, and some players have gone through the entire game playing as just an ordinary human. No cyberware? No problem.
Reddit user yoghurtmuncher took a slightly different approach to their game, showing off a build so ludicrous that it’d probably have the infamous Adam Smasher quaking in his metallic boots.
Their post read: “Hey guys, Me and my Choom jackie are so excited for our first major league heist! but Im afraid I might not be prepared enough. Thoughts?”
The build they dropped was truly remarkable. Every cyberware slot was filled with some of the best add-ons in the game. Enough to take down hordes of enemies with minimal effort. It’s the kind of build you can only hope to have for the end-game missions.
As you can imagine other fans couldn’t help but laugh, with one commenter by the name of Possible-Head-3985 saying “Bros playing Cyber 2077.” Acceptable_Load_2003 replied, “All cyber, no punk.”
Adam Smasher also got a name-drop by CheeseLoverMax, who pondered “what Adam Smasher’s menu would look like and how much capacity he has/is using.” It’s bound to be a lot, but yoghurtmuncher might have him beat.
All in all, this is probably a really disappointing way to play Cyberpunk 2077. Power-trips like overly modded playthroughs are fun for the first 30 minutes or so until you start getting bored. Games need to have some sort of challenge or hook to keep you playing.
What’s next for Cyberpunk 2077?
As it stands, Cyberpunk 2077 is at a bit of an impasse. Official support for the game has concluded as CD Projekt Red directs the bulk of its development efforts into The Witcher IV.
However, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a brand-new DLC expansion next year, 10 years after its original release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

It’s got Cyberpunk 2077 players optimistic, as there’s only been one major DLC expansion for the game, Phantom Liberty, but there’s now hope for another. Despite a lack of support, the playerbase for the RPG has remained consistent, so perhaps that consistency will spur CD Projekt Red on to make another expansion.
While they wait, the next chapter of Cyberpunk 2077 is on the horizon, albeit in a different form.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 was shown off recently, and many liked what they saw. While it won’t have ties to the video game, many are simply excited to see more of this world explored while they wait for the sequel.
