Esports Sponsorship Benchmark H1 2026: Top Events by Media Value
Raw viewership shows where esports audiences gathered, but it does not fully explain which events offered the strongest commercial benchmark for sponsors. In H1 2026, the Media Value ranking was led by established PC esports ecosystems, with Counter-Strike and League of Legends accounting for most of the top 10.
Top esports events by Media Value in H1 2026
Esports Charts’ Media Value estimates how much a 1% on-screen banner throughout an event would cost, based on viewership, broadcast exposure and regional ad rates. It is designed as a comparative sponsorship benchmark, not as a literal revenue figure or confirmed sponsor spend.
The top 10 events generated over $203 million in combined estimated Media Value. League of Legends led by total value, with four events worth around $92 million, followed by Counter-Strike with four events at roughly $7 million less. Valorant added two international Masters events, totaling nearly $25.9 million.

The Media Value ranking was more concentrated than the broader H1 viewership leaderboard. Counter-Strike and League of Legends accounted for eight of the top 10 entries, highlighting how strongly premium sponsorship exposure was tied to mature PC esports ecosystems.
Some of the most-watched esports events of H1 2026, including major Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournaments, did not appear in the Media Value top 10, which shows that the audience geography, broadcast duration, ad-market pricing and exposure format can push a smaller PC event above a larger mobile-first tournament in sponsorship benchmark terms.
