One of the latest additions to the season has been the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite. This is a weird one though.

At launch, It’s maybe had the weirdest release pattern. With barley anyone able to track it down.

The current season had these little sprites all over. With some being super common. Others being the rarest sprites in Fortnite. However, the Pollo sprite has been unique. When it was first enabled, the player Pollo had it. To get it, you had to actually take him down in-game. Defeating arguably the best active player to get a Sprite, not an easy task. The method to get the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite is easier though. Or least it should be once the Fortnite community deals with it.

Now, the sprite is in the general rotation. However, it’s still on the rarer side. It’ll be a little trickier to track down. This is how the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite is going to work:

How Do You Get the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite?

The Pollo Sprite in Fortnite was added in the last Fortnite update, but it isn’t generally available yet. it is currently in the game. But in a ridiculously rare format that’s out of reach for the vast majority of players.

The Pollo Sprite isn’t active in games properly yet. instead, it was only obtainable through a limited time event. The pro player Pollo streamed himself playing normal Pubs, with it.

To get the sprite you had to kill them. Which is a herculean task given he’s one of the most decorated Fortnite players of all time and has really only gotten better recently. The Pollo Sprite in Fortnite was definitely hard to get. If you want to obtain it now, you basically have to get lucky with someone who managed that.

To get the Pollo Sprite, you’ll need to kill a player actively using it or trade for it. it’ll likely be pretty rare for a while. Over time, if those who have it trade and create more, it should spread through the community.

All it needs is a bit of Sprite dust to get it done. And it’s quite simple to grind that out now. Although, right now we’re pretty much relying on the kindness of strangers for this to be in any way accessible.

What is the Pollo Sprite?

Along with the Vini Jr Sprite, the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite is a new creature in the last update. This one is based on the pro Pollo. He’s one of the top active players, competing with Peterbot this year. The player’s Sprite is based on him physically, with a chicken as the base. Tying in with the pun of his name.

It’s also wearing an FNCS Esports Jersey and a gamer headset. It’s a pretty fun design to commemorate one of the best players in the game. His long-time on again, off again, teammate Peterbot would probably be a prime contender for an Icon Skin by now. If there wasn’t a video of him saying racial slurs kicking around. Unproblematic Pollo is a much better pick for this kind of in-game representation.

What Does the Pollo Sprite Do in Fortnite?

The Pollo Sprite has a bit of a unique power for players who are carrying it. once you get elims, you’ll get a shield siphon for your entire team. this is healing over time, not all at once like the other Siphon Fortnite Sprite.

It’s also dependent on you getting an elim, where there’s two different sprites which heal shield at the same pace without needing an elim. It’s a tricky Sprite. It probably won’t be top of the game in its power and effect. But as a super rare sprite, it’s good that didn’t happen.

Having a world-beating Sprite effect hidden behind one of the hardest in the game to get would be pretty frustrating. this way, even if you can’t get it until later in the season, it’s no big loss.

Multiple new features are coming before the season ends which will help you get rare sprites. Including, the Lucky Locator which guarantees a sprite you don’t have. While the Pollo sprite is really hard to find right now. But if the Lucky Locator applies to it in the future, then it’ll probably be easier to find after that.

The current set up for the Fortnite sprites keep some really rare to keep players engaged. Once the season is nearly over, we’ll likely see Epic making it easier to find the reaming ones. So everyone can unlock everything.
