Future Industries partners with AMD to build humanoid military and industrial robots | Ukraine news

A Trump family-backed fund announced a deal with AMD to use Ryzen AI chips for the Phantom MK-2 humanoid robot development.

July 23, 2026, the Future Industries Foundation, which is backed by Eric Trump, announced a partnership with AMD to use the company’s chips to jointly develop autonomous humanoid robots for military and industrial use.

Donald Trump Jr., the son of U.S. President Donald Trump, became an investor in the startup earlier this year and serves as the chief strategic adviser.

The Trump family’s investments in several companies have drawn attention, particularly regarding their involvement with defense firms that regularly bid for government contracts, which raises the risk of conflicts of interest.

Partnerships and Products

Eric Trump and his brother Donald Trump Jr. also backed the Israeli drone manufacturer XTEND, Unusual Machines, and Powerus.

Under the terms of a deal whose amount was not disclosed, the foundation plans to use Ryzen AI Embedded X100 series processors, introduced by AMD in January this year, to develop the second version of the Phantom MK-2 robot.

Startup Achievements and Expansion Plans

The startup, founded in 2024, said that its Phantom MK-1 robots participated in the production of more than 24,000 vehicles in 2025.

In October the company plans to open a factory capable of producing 5,000 Phantom robots per year, and to begin construction of another facility early next year with an annual capacity of 50,000 robots, as CEO Sankaet Pathak noted.

Each industrial robot leased to clients costs about $100,000 per year, Pathak added.

In the defense segment the company is developing robots for materials handling and reconnaissance, which it sells to the government for $300,000 per unit, he added.

Thus, this collaboration with AMD reflects growing private-sector interest in autonomous AI-powered solutions across sectors – from industrial manufacturing to defense needs.
