Stellaris Venture Partners also participated in the round, alongside other investors whose names were not disclosed.

CARPL.ai said the funding will support product development, the expansion of its global partner network and commercial growth across North America, Latin America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and emerging markets.

Founded in 2021 by Vidur Mahajan, the startup operates a vendor-neutral platform that allows healthcare providers to build, test, deploy and monitor AI applications used in radiology.

It said customers could access more than 300 AI applications from over 100 partners through a single integration.

“Our mission is to ensure that clinicians can confidently utilise the absolute best AI technology available for their patients,” Mahajan, the company’s CEO, said.

Its technology was used by four of the world’s five largest private radiology groups and by government health systems in Brazil, India, Singapore, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

The Healthtech platform planned to expand beyond medical imaging into pathology, genomics and general medicine.

CARPL.ai previously announced a $6 million seed funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners in February 2024, with participation from strategic angel investors.
