Here is the pricing breakdown for the Galaxy Z Fold8 series and the Z Flip8
We’re still at the Galaxy Unpacked event that brought the Galaxy Z Flip8, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Z Fold8 Ultra. If you want a closer look, we have a hands-on comparison of the Z Fold8 duo. And now we have to deliver some bad news – the foldables got more expensive.

Looking at the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8, it’s $100/€100/£100 more than the Z Flip7. And this time around we can’t point to an FE model as the cheaper option.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is similarly $100/€100/£100 more expensive than its predecessor – that would be the Z Fold7, since Samsung added an “Ultra” tag to its big book-style foldable. Anyway, you can compare the new prices with the ones for the Z foldables from last year.
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is the new wide form-factor foldable – it has a 16:10 cover and a 4:3 inner display. Again, this isn’t the sequel to the Z Fold7. Size-wise it fits between the Flip and the Fold Ultra and the same can be said about its price.

The base models have 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Samsung mostly did away with the free storage upgrade, though we did spot it in at least one market, so check your local Samsung.com. Note that the pre-order period will last until the end of the month. For most countries that we checked, there are discounts that cover some or all of the cost of upgrading from 256GB to 512GB, though the exact details differ by region.
In the US, you can get $150 off the Z Flip8 without any trade-in and $200 off the Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra. Additionally, you can get $100 off with the code PAYPAL100 (this requires that you pay with PayPal, though). Check Samsung US for more details.
In the UK, you can get £100 off the Z Flip8 with the code Z8 and £50 off if you pay with PayPal. You can use the Z8 code to get £100 off the Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra, but it seems that the PayPal deal doesn’t apply to these two.
There’s a similar deal in Germany, €100 off for all three models if you use the code PAYPAL8. Note that Samsung is offering a free 6-month trial of Google AI Pro, which also comes with 5TB of cloud storage.
In India, you can get an instant bank discount of ₹4,000 for the Z Flip8 or ₹9,000 for the two Z Folds.
In Australia, there is a $100 trade-in bonus or you can get a $100 Eco-Voucher. That is for the Z Flip8, the values go up by $50 if you are looking at the Z Folds.
