Honor announces a three-year imaging strategy for mobile phones
Honor has recently announced a three-year imaging strategy for its phones to enhance their overall camera performance. The company is making efforts to take its device imaging skills to the next level, becoming the best brand in the camera phone market.
Luo Wei – the Chief Imaging Engineer at Honor, mentioned that the three-year imaging strategy for its mobile phones is not merely a blueprint but a step-by-step practical approach.
Wei said the entire smartphone imaging industry is currently trapped in an inappropriate cycle of involution within a default framework for the past few years.
Everyone follows the same trend one after the other. For instance, when a brand begins focusing on pixel count, others follow suit. Similarly, when a brand takes a look at the hardware concept, everyone starts sticking to the same track!
The executive highlighted:
“The industry has established fixed templates and standard answers, and everyone habitually crawls into the boxes drawn by others, afraid to step out, unwilling to be different, for fear that being different is a mistake.”
According to Luo Wei, one of the biggest fears in the imaging tech industry is not trial and error or failure, but rather following the crowd and limiting oneself. The chief said Honor never followed the crowd, and its new 3-year strategy entitled “The Light of Light and Intelligence Evolution” aims to break the tradition.
He added that from establishing a foothold in the industry’s top tier to building an absolute barrier in the video segment and developing its own tech solutions for a comprehensive imaging ecosystem, every step counts!
