Jaecoo J6 REEV Launching in Pakistan This Month
Omoda & Jaecoo have hinted at another vehicle launch in Pakistan after posting a teaser on social media with the caption, “Coming soon!” The image showed a vehicle silhouette that closely matches the Jaecoo J6, sparking speculation about the company’s next model for the local market.
The company has now confirmed that the teased vehicle is the Jaecoo J6 REEV. It will arrive in Pakistan in a rear-wheel-drive configuration. While the exact launch date remains under wraps, Omoda & Jaecoo said the new SUV will debut in July.
The Jaecoo J6 REEV shares its design and most of its features with the fully electric Jaecoo J6 already available in Pakistan. However, the new model uses a range-extended electric vehicle, or REEV, powertrain instead of a fully electric setup.
The REEV version is already available in several international markets. In Thailand, it is sold as the Jaecoo 6T REEV, while in China the same powertrain is marketed under the iCAR 03T REEV name. Malaysia is also preparing to introduce the model soon.
Jaecoo J6 REEV Features
In Thailand, the Jaecoo J6 REEV is available in both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive variants. The rear-wheel-drive model comes with a 33.67 kWh battery pack and produces 252 hp and 300 Nm of torque. It offers an electric-only driving range of 190 km under the NEDC cycle and a combined range of 800 km. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
The Jaecoo J6 REEV also brings a long list of premium features. It includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Buyers also get a 12-speaker Infinity sound system, powered front seats, front-seat massage functions, and passenger leg support.
The rear seats feature two-stage adjustable backrests, while the cabin also includes a panoramic sunroof with a powered sunshade. For safety and convenience, the SUV offers 15 advanced driver assistance systems and adaptive LED matrix headlights.
The four-wheel-drive version is even quicker and can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 5.5 seconds. The SUV measures 4,503 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,785 mm in height.
Omoda & Jaecoo has not announced pricing for the Jaecoo J6 REEV in Pakistan. For now, the company has only confirmed one thing. The Jaecoo J6 REEV is set to make its official debut in Pakistan later this month.
