Kiss-based RPG ‘EXSTETRA’ Remaster Out Now on Steam, Consoles 3 September

This week, developer FURYU launched their remaster of the turn-based “kissing” role-playing game title ‘EXSTETRA’ on PC via Steam. Console versions for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 alongside Playstation 5 systems are also in development and will launch on 3 September.

To celebrate the launch of “EXSTETRA,” a special 20% discount will be available during the launch sale (until 12 August). In addition, FURYU will hold a publisher sale on Steam, offering a selection of its titles at special prices (a perfect time to snag ‘CRYSTAR‘, I’m sure).

Set in “Amazea,” a Tokyo fused with another world and fated for destruction, the story follows high school student Ryoma as he faces the impending end of the world as the chosen savior known as a “Prisma.” Along his journey, Ryoma encounters candidates destined to become “Prisma Knights,” who share the same mission to save the world. By awakening their powers through his kiss, Ryoma and his companions embark on a grand adventure together.

This game first launched on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita systems in Japan-only back in 2013—making this the first time the game has been localised in English as well as Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

This opening movie showcases numerous “kiss” scenes that play a vital role in the game’s battles. Are these merely “awakening kisses,” or could they be “true kisses” that reveal deeper feelings?

Be sure to look forward to the colorful cast of characters bound together by fate. NU-KO’s gentle yet unwavering vocals beautifully bring the world of the game to life throughout the opening movie.
