LinqAlpha Raises $22M to Build ‘Alpha Intelligence’ for Public Markets

New York-based LinqAlpha has announced the closing of a $22 million Series A funding round anchored by Paris-based AVP, South Korea’s Atinum Investment and California’s GFT Ventures, as it aims to build alpha for investors, specifically an “alpha intelligence layer” for public markets.

Japan’s SBI Investment and Z Venture Capital came aboard as strategic investors. Other investors included Betatron Venture Group, East Ventures, and SV Investment across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong SAR; Samsung Securities, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, Mirae Asset Capital, NH Investment & Securities, Shinhan Venture Investment, and Hana Ventures in South Korea; and NuVentures in India.

The startup’s founders Jacob Choi, Subeen Pang, Jin Kim, and Hojun Choi, LinqAlpha are a mix of MIT computer scientists and Goldman Sachs analysts.

“The first wave of AI in finance made analysts faster. The next wave changes what they can know,” said Hojun Choi, the company’s co-CEO, a former Goldman Sachs executive. “The edge no longer comes from retrieving information; it comes from systems that surface market-moving signals before they are priced in.”

LinqAlpha says in effect it “builds a second brain for every investment team: one that turns accumulated research into actionable insight across liquid public markets,” said Jacob Choi, the other co-CEO with a PhD from MIT. This, he added, provides each team agents that reason in the context of its own thesis history and “evolve with its feedback and market view.”

More than 70 financial institutions across the U.S., Europe, and Asia use LinqAlpha’s AI agents to support investment research and decision-making, including buy-side clients that collectively manage more than $5 trillion in assets. Among them are Causeway Capital Management and Schonfeld Strategic Advisors.

The new capital will be used to expand LinqAlpha’s global team, deepen integrations across market and alternative datasets, and accelerate the deployment of its multi-agent platform.
