My forever world from 2014 Minecraft Java 1.8 up until now

When I started out, I simply intended to have a map I could return to whenever I wanted to play or try out the new updates. At that time, the concept of a “forever world” didn’t exist, and I just called it my “Survival.”

I want to share this with you simply as a way to preserve my adventure and recount my experience. I have hundreds of photos, at least one from every time I discovered something new or obtained an item from a new version, but I want to share the ones that show the progress and how things have changed over the years and with each update.

My playstyle is completely casual, and I only do something technical every once in a while. As you can see, despite 12 years and nearly 6,600 days in the game, I don’t have anything impressive, I’ve focused on enjoying the scenery or building things I like, but this map has become a part of my life, and sometimes I’ve even found lost or forgotten items that bring back memories.

I’m very strict about the world’s rules and maintain a vanilla experience, no mods and no abuse of any game mechanics is allowed.

So here it is: my Survival 1.8 from September 7, 2014.
