Mysterious man won’t stop feeding birds at midnight and it’s causing total mayhem
A mysterious man in Australia has been causing chaos, putting out bird feed in the middle of the night, and it’s causing a “poo explosion” for residents.
Birds flocking to one specific area isn’t anything new, but they’re sometimes encouraged to keep returning there by different parts of human behavior. They might find that someone feeds them there, so it makes sense to keep coming back, or someone will protect them from a bigger predator.
Well, over in Burwood, Australia, birds have been getting fed by a mystery man for over two years. However, while the birds are enjoying the regular food, it has become an annoyance to local residents.
As per Nine Australia, the mysterious man – who they have simply christened as the Burwood Birdman – has been turning up in the middle of the night, chucking out bird food, and then leaving before the birds swoop in of a morning.
Sydney birdman keeps feeding them at all hours
This routine has left residents with a headache, with the man even being caught doing it at 4 am. He ignores all signs about not feeding the birds too.
“We have a few running theories. Whether there’s a scorned lover in the building, maybe an ex-girlfriend or something that’s cheated on him, or, you know, I think someone’s paying him to do it,” one resident told Nine.
“When the sun rises, all hell breaks loose. We go from a nice, quiet, peaceful street to just mayhem,” another said.
One expert said the feeding is “not good for the birds” and that it can cause a “poo explosion” for the residents that will have to be cleaned up – and avoided so there is no mess on anyone’s shoes or clothes.
Even when confronted, the birdman won’t speak to anyone, and his motives are still unclear. So, expect the feeding and poo explosions to continue.
