NBA 2K27 To Hit PS5 On September 4, Victor Wembanyama Will Grace The Standard Edition Cover
Visual Concepts has announced that NBA 2K27 is launching on September 4, 2026 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, with Victor Wembanyama set to grace the cover of the Standard Edition of the game. Furthermore, those who purchase the Deluxe or Ultra Edition will gain early access to the game on August 28.
The NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition cover athlete will be Caitlin Clark, the three-time WNBA All-Star starter, Indiana Fever Guard, 2024 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year, and “the player who has transformed the landscape of women’s basketball.” Finally, Derrick Rose, the three-time NBA All-Star and Chicago Bulls legend, will be featured on the cover of the Ultra Edition.
NBA 2K27’s highlights include MyCAREER, which sees players creating their own MyPLAYER and embarking on a legacy-defining story, where you will be put to the test as you strike to become the greatest player of all time. Meanwhile, ProPLAY powers many of the lifelike gameplay animations during NBA 2K27, which are translated directly from real NBA stars as you take to the court to showcase your enhanced shooting mechanics and ankle-breaking crossovers.
Finally, the game’s MyTEAM will see you collecting your favourite NBA and WNBA stars and compile your own fantasy squad, before taking control of your MyTEAM and putting them to the test across single-player and multiplayer modes.
Visual Concepts will debut a gameplay trailer on July 28.
