NFP Appoints Fran Chamberlain as SVP for Risk Capital in Northeast Region

NFP, an Aon company, has appointed Fran Chamberlain as senior vice president of Risk Capital, adding an experienced property and casualty insurance executive to strengthen its commercial insurance business across upstate New York and the broader Northeast.

Based in Albany, Chamberlain will focus on developing relationships with new and existing clients while leading operational and strategic initiatives in upstate New York. She will report to Paul Costantino, regional managing director for property and casualty.

The appointment reflects NFP’s continued investment in regional leadership as businesses contend with increasingly complex commercial insurance risks and seek specialized advisory services. Expanding experienced local leadership has become a strategic priority for brokers as the property and casualty market continues to navigate evolving underwriting conditions, higher claims costs and changing client risk profiles.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Fran to our P&C team in the Northeast,” Costantino said. “NFP prides itself on the highest level of client service, which we maintain through a constantly evolving and complex risk environment. With her extensive P&C insurance background leading multi-functional teams, client service and carrier relations, Fran will be instrumental in continuing to strengthen our success in upstate New York.”

Chamberlain brings decades of experience in property and casualty insurance, with a background spanning client service, operations, employee development and carrier relations. She joins NFP from Acrisure, where she most recently served as senior manager of training and development, overseeing employee development and operational initiatives across her region.

Before joining Acrisure, Chamberlain spent nearly 20 years with CLG Insurance in the Albany market, serving in multiple leadership roles and helping build client service and operational capabilities. She also holds the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.

“I’m excited to join NFP and help grow our P&C business across the Northeast region,” Chamberlain said. “Employers of all sizes are facing more complex risks than ever before and need a strong partner with extensive insurance industry expertise. With NFP’s depth of resources and excellent reputation in the market, I’m looking forward to facilitating our forward momentum and delivering high-quality service to our clients across the Northeast.”

The hire follows broader consolidation and expansion across the commercial insurance brokerage sector, where firms are investing in experienced talent to deepen regional market expertise and strengthen advisory capabilities. For NFP, enhancing its leadership presence in upstate New York supports its strategy of delivering specialized property and casualty solutions backed by the global resources of Aon.

NFP provides property and casualty insurance, employee benefits, life insurance, executive benefits, wealth management and retirement plan advisory services to businesses and individuals across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. As an Aon company, the firm combines regional client service with global risk management capabilities to support organizations facing increasingly complex risk and human capital challenges.
