Odisha Startups Showcase Innovation at Rashtrapati Bhavan
Three Odisha startups showcased innovations in healthcare, clean energy and sustainable materials at Rashtrapati Bhavan under the Atal Innovation Mission

Three startups from Odisha presented their innovations at an exhibition held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday, highlighting the state’s growing participation in India’s startup ecosystem.
The exhibition, organised at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), brought together startups and innovators from different parts of the country. The participating entrepreneurs also interacted with President Droupadi Murmu.
The Odisha startups selected for the national-level event were GARGI Automated & Robotic Gadget Industries Private Limited, Newrup Tech Solutions and Urban-Hyphae Bioscience. Each showcased technology-driven solutions addressing challenges in healthcare, clean energy and sustainable materials.
Congratulating the entrepreneurs, Odisha MSME and Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik said the recognition of the three startups at the national-level exhibition reflects the growing participation of Odisha-based enterprises in the country’s innovation ecosystem. He said the state government is working to strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation through policy support and initiatives aimed at encouraging startups.
Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the MSME Department Rashmita Panda said the Odisha Startup Policy has played a role in encouraging young entrepreneurs by creating an enabling environment for innovation. She noted that startups from the state are increasingly gaining recognition for developing solutions with both local relevance and wider application.
Startup Odisha Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Smrutiranjan Pradhan said the state government is providing support through incubation facilities, grants and mentoring to help emerging entrepreneurs build and scale their ventures.
Among the participating startups, GARGI Automated & Robotic Gadget Industries, founded by Shital Zemane, showcased assistive technologies designed for persons with physical disabilities. The company develops automated and robotic mobility solutions, including transformable bed-chair systems and exoskeleton technologies aimed at improving accessibility and independent living.
Newrup Tech Solutions, led by Anup Paikaray, presented CHULIV, a clean cooking solution developed to reduce indoor air pollution while improving fuel efficiency. The technology seeks to address health and environmental concerns associated with traditional cooking methods.
Urban-Hyphae Bioscience, founded by Adhiraj Mohapatra, demonstrated its work in producing mushroom-based leather alternatives from agricultural waste. The startup focuses on developing sustainable materials by promoting the use of renewable resources and supporting circular economy practices.
The participation of the three Odisha startups at Rashtrapati Bhavan reflects the increasing presence of innovation-driven enterprises from the state at national platforms.
