Our best look at Pixel Glow just came from a Pixel 11 Google Store teaser

Pixel Glow has been a more intriguing topic in the world of Pixel 11 rumors. However, after the company’s storefront teaser, we have something a little more substantial.
The Google Store is getting ready for the Pixel 11 in August. The company’s Pixel 11/Made by Google event teaser page has been updated with a new animation. As the animation rolls on, we’re now able to see Pixel Glow’s LED indicator beside the phone’s camera lenses. This confirms that Google is placing Pixel Glow inside its iconic camera bar.
There’s still a lot we’re curious about, but the animation suggests Pixel Glow will offer a soft, multi-colored LED experience. What’s more, my colleague Derrek Lee got crafty. Inspecting the page revealed a little more about the device we’re looking at. According to his discovery, Google says this video shows “The side view of an olive and coral Pixel 11 Pro phone.”
It’s difficult to make out the color of the phone in question. All we’re treated to, much like its emailed invitations, are phones with a gold or rose gold finish along the camera bar and sides. At the least, we can (potentially) take this as confirmation that there will be olive and coral variations of the Pixel 11 Pro. Google teases once more that pre-orders for the Pixel 11 will begin on August 12.
We’ve been wondering
Rumors about Pixel Glow have had us speculating about its design for months. Android Central’s Nicholas Sutrich made the mockup you see above. We hoped that Google would create a ring of RGB lights around the camera bar. In our heads, it would make the phone pop even more. That hope continued with users online after Google I/O 2026. Social media was buzzing after a Gemini Omni teaser showed a model holding a Pixel phone with a glowing camera bar.
Everyone wondered, “Could this be Pixel Glow?” The odds were stacked against this theory. It was a segment about Google’s AI, for one. Moreover, the phone looked like it was in a case, and the glow was coming from the case. Rumors had also evolved, claiming Google might opt for an RGB LED dot in the camera bar, replacing the temperature sensor.
Google confirmed earlier this month that the Pixel 11 series will debut on August 12 at 6 p.m. ET in New York.
Android Central’s Take
I feel like the design Google’s gone with keeps things… classy? There’s a chance that a full LED ring around the phone’s camera bar makes it stick out too much. Perhaps it takes away from the Pixel design in an unnatural way. Still, I think it would’ve been sick, but that’s the gamer in me. Regardless, an LED dot like this has its uses. I think back to Nothing’s Glyph Matrix or Glyph Bar. The lights mean something. So, how will Pixel Glow be helpful?
