As a general strategy, Samsung’s mobile phone unit decided to increase the number of flagship smartphones in 2027 – to have 4 foldable options, and also four models in its Galaxy S27 series (S26, S26+, S26 Ultra – and a new S26 Pro device. Samsung believes that offering many devices will help expand its sales.
The original Galaxy Z TriFold had a 10″ (when fully open) 1584×2160 120Hz LTPO foldable AMOLED display. The external display was a 6.5″ 1080×2520 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, covered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. It is suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold2 will have a similar 10″ display.
