PR TIMES “So-net Hikari,” the internet service provided by Sony Network Communications Inc., has announced the optional service “PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (Japanese Version Only) for So-net.”
This option allows users to lease a PlayStation 5 by paying a monthly fee of 1,500 yen (750 yen starting from the 37th month).
Applications for simultaneous sign-up for the line and this add-on will begin on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, for select 1-gigabit plans and the 10-gigabit plan of “So-net Hikari,” as well as for “So-net Hikari (au Hikari)” will begin accepting simultaneous sign-ups for the service and this option starting Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Starting in September, the company will begin shipping the devices and accepting standalone sign-ups for the option.
