Solo Unicorn Club Presents 2026 One-Person Unicorn Pitch Day in New York City

A Structured Startup Competition Built Around the “One-Person Unicorn” Model for Solo and AI-Native Founders

— The Solo Unicorn Club presented “One-Person Unicorn: The Soloist’s Ascent | 2026 Pitch Day” at 225 West 34th Street in New York City, bringing eight AI-native founder teams together for an afternoon of product demonstrations, judges’ questioning, audience voting, and live award announcements. The event concluded with five award recipients, including two ventures selected for a Beta Selected Prize that included $20,000 in investment support.

Presented in partnership with Tech Tomorrowland, the Pitch Day reflected the Solo Unicorn Club’s focus on solo and AI-native founders and the club’s “one-person unicorn” model. The event was structured as a startup competition, with founder demonstrations, formal scoring, an audience vote, and an industry panel held within a single afternoon.

The competition centered on eight AI-native founder teams, five presenting in person and three joining remotely by video. Their ventures spanned consumer software, cybersecurity, legal technology, real estate, media, fintech, and cloud operations: Breakreal, an AI bartender for personalized cocktails; CySecure, AI cyber defense for enterprises; NEOIP, an AI intellectual-property workspace; SuperRent, an AI rental agent for New York apartments; StoryMade, a story-to-content platform; SpurPay, real-time AI payment recovery; SycroQuota, a multi-cloud AI control layer; and Finaric, AI relationship-intelligence for finance.

Each team was given ten minutes to present its product and ten minutes to answer questions. Two judges questioned each team on technology, market, business model, and execution, with two to four questions assigned during each session. A networking segment followed while the audience vote and judges’ scores were finalized.

The scoring process used five dimensions: team, product and technology, market, business model, and pitch and delivery. Each dimension was rated from one to ten, for a maximum of fifty points. A separate audience-vote category recognized public preference, while the judges selected the two ventures that received investment support.

The Audience Favorite Awards went to Breakreal, which placed first and received $500; SpurPay, which placed second and received $300; and SuperRent, which placed third and received $200. In the judges’ investment category, SycroQuota, founded by Jiaying Huang, and CySecure, founded by Yihong Zou, were named Beta Selected Prize recipients, with each prize including $20,000 in investment support.

Jesse Qin, founder of the Solo Unicorn Club, hosted the event, introduced the framework, served as a judge, and moderated the panel. He was joined on the judging panel by Richard Zhang, who works in angel investing and small and medium enterprise finance; Mike Situ, who works in hedge-fund data and quantitative finance; and Jill Li, who works in angel investing and founder development. The panel discussion was titled “Venture Capital in the Era of One-Person Unicorns: What We Bet On.”

“When one person with the right tools can do the work of a team, what becomes scarce is taste, trust, and distribution,” Qin said.

The event was presented in partnership with Tech Tomorrowland. Event materials also listed the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (GNY USA) as a supporting organization.

The 2026 Pitch Day placed the one-person company model inside a practical startup setting, with founder demos, judge evaluation, audience voting, and investment selections presented in one program. For the Solo Unicorn Club, the event created a public format for showing how solo and AI-native founders are building, presenting, and testing early-stage ventures.
