The Nintendo Switch 2 can be had for just $399 ahead of its September price hike thanks to this deal

Nintendo announced last month that the Switch 2 will get a price bump from its retail MSRP of $449.99 to $499.99 starting September 1, 2026, due to a myriad of concerns ranging from tariffs to DRAM and memory shortages across the industry. However, Woot, Amazon’s subsidiary and retailer-style outlet, is celebrating its 22nd anniversary by discounting the Nintendo Switch 2 well below its $449.99 MSRP, provided you either use a promo code or are a first-time user.

There are two deals running separately. If you order the Nintendo Switch 2 for $449.99 and enter the promo code “GIFT26” at checkout, you’ll receive $22 off, bringing down the cost of Nintendo’s gaming handheld to $427, which is pretty much a steal.

On the other hand, new customers who’ve never made a purchase or created an account on Amazon will be given $50 off, as clearly stated on Woot’s own product page. This would drastically bring down the price of a new Nintendo Switch 2 to $399. However, one thing to note here is that taxes, depending upon your region, could affect your final checkout price.

This deal is limited to just one Nintendo Switch 2 per customer, ensuring scalpers don’t get the upper hand. Lastly, this deal is valid only until July 25 at 11:58 p.m. Central Time or until all the available stock runs out.

However, if you’re late to the party, Woot still has a backup plan for handheld or Nintendo fans still eager to get their hands on a Switch 2. Woot is also selling a “Certified Grade A” Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart World for $439.

According to Woot, the company has inspected each unit for cosmetic damage and console bricks, and has performed a full diagnostic workup to ensure that the refurbished Switch 2 consoles indeed run like “brand new,” with no prior information from the previous owner. 

To make the refurbished deal even sweeter, the refurbished Woot Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle also comes with the original retail box, all original accessories, and a 90-day warranty in case of any hiccups or discrepancies.

For users concerned about the validity of the Mario Kart World bundle code included in the box, a Woot staff member on the company’s forum confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 bundle either still contains the sealed original code or has been replaced with a new Mario Kart World code.
