Queensland Manufacturing Hub to host inaugural robotics and automation industry lunch in Toowoomba

Manufacturing Queensland has announced that the Queensland Manufacturing Hub in Toowoomba will host its inaugural Robotics and Automation Industry Lunch on 22 July, bringing together manufacturers and industry representatives to discuss the adoption of robotics and automation across the sector.
According to Manufacturing Queensland, the networking event is intended to provide a forum for manufacturers, business owners, engineers, technicians and operators to share experiences, explore emerging technologies and discuss practical approaches to implementing robotics and automation within manufacturing businesses.
The event will also mark the launch of a new industry networking initiative by the Queensland Manufacturing Hub (Toowoomba), aimed at supporting collaboration among businesses that are either exploring or already using robotics and automation in their operations.
Manufacturing Queensland said discussions during the session will focus on robotics and automation projects underway across the region, lessons learned from implementation and adoption, approaches to building robotics capability and skills within teams, emerging technologies, and practical solutions to common challenges.
The organisation said the initiative is designed to help establish a network where participants can learn from one another and support the development of robotics and automation capability across the region.
As part of the event, the TAFE Queensland Smart Factory Lab team will provide an update on current training opportunities in robotics, automation and advanced manufacturing available to industry.
Manufacturing Queensland said the event is intended to support businesses at different stages of their automation journey, from those beginning to explore automation technologies through to manufacturers looking to expand existing capabilities. It also encouraged attendees to bring technical staff who are involved in robotics and automation projects within their organisations.
The Robotics and Automation Industry Lunch will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on 22 July at the Queensland Manufacturing Hub office, Block A, 100 Bridge Street, Toowoomba. Lunch will be provided.
Manufacturing Queensland has invited manufacturers interested in attending to register online ahead of the event.
