Alexa app played in multiple devices

I’m on an iPhone 14, version 26.5x. I’ve removed and re-installed the Alexa app on my phone. I’m driving, not at home. I open the Alexa app & have it read my Kindle book in the music and more option, selecting This device only. But another device, at home, will read too. And not always the same one- it does it on a Show and on the dots/pucks, whatever they are. Some are named Alexa, some Echo and even 1 Ziggy. These aren’t next to each other in my device list, so I know I’m not accidentally hitting both. My husband, who is home, is furious. All of a sudden a voice starts talking. Guess I’m lucky I don’t read a lot of racy smut, but I don’t know what to do. All the devices function like they should except the music and more device selection from my iPhone.
