EWC to Host a Free Esports Festival in Front of the Arc de Triomphe
The Esports Foundation has announced it is hosting an esports festival in Paris as part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) Paris.
The Esports Festival by Esports World Cup will take place in the Champs-Élysées, the famous 1.9-kilometre avenue in Paris between the Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe.
This free, unticketed event has been co-created with the Comité Champs-Élysées and will be open to the public.
The open-air festival will take place on Sunday, August 2, from 3:30 PM until 8:00 PM CEST in the French capital.
The Esports Festival by Esports World Cup
The Esports Foundation describes the festival as a “celebration of esports, gaming, and entertainment.”
It will take place during Week 4 of the Esports World Cup, which will feature games at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
Specifically, it will be on the same day as the finals of the Overwatch Champions Series (OWS) Midseason Championship and Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series.
The festival will feature smaller tournaments in Trackmania, Rocket League, and EA Sports FC 26, featuring French professional players and internet personalities.
Attendees will be able to participate in interactive gaming experiences and live challenges, with activations designed for fans, families, and first-time players.
And the Esports Foundation has teased that a full schedule and guest lineup for the festival will be revealed closer to the event.
