Hotspawn 10K Showdown Officially Announced With £10K Prize Pool, VRS Invites, And Open Qualifiers
Hotspawn is leveling up. We are delighted to announce the Hotspawn 10K Showdown, a brand-new Counter-Strike 2 tournament with a massive £10,000 prize pool. Starting online, the event will culminate in a four-team LAN at Endpoint’s Pracrooms in Sheffield, England.
Hotspawn 10K Showdown Brings CS2 LAN Action to Sheffield
The Hotspawn 10K Showdown begins with a series of four single-elimination Open Qualifiers. Anyone can sign up to be in with a chance of qualifying for the main event. The Open Qualifier dates can be found below:
- Open Qualifier #1: August 29th, 2026
- Open Qualifier #2: August 30th, 2026
- Open Qualifier #3: September 5th, 2026
- Open Qualifier #4: September 6th, 2026
Teams can sign up for the Open Qualifiers from August 10th, 2026.
The winner of the four Open Qualifiers will then move on to the Group Stage, which will be held between September 25th and 27th, 2026. It will feature two GSL groups, where the OQ winners will meet four teams directly invited through the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
Four teams will progress from the Group Stage and into the live LAN Finals, which will be held in Sheffield, England, at Endpoint’s Pracrooms venue. The LAN Finals are double-elimination and will take place on October 24th and 25th, 2026. A total £10,000 prize pool is on the line at the Hotspawn 10K Showdown, and with PGL Major Singapore 2026 invites set to go out in November, it could be the perfect time for teams in the running to pick up some all-important LAN wins prior to the cut-off date.
