Military Strategy Game with Focus on Industry and Resource Supply Chains Released on Steam
In Powerplay, it’s not just about developing military strategy. It’s important to remember the economic component.
In late July, Frantic studio announced the release of the real-time strategy game Powerplay on Steam in “early access” format. They published a trailer to celebrate the project’s launch.
According to the developers of Powerplay, creating efficient supply chains is a fundamental element of their game. Players will need to balance resource allocation and territory management: “Develop and optimize conveyor networks to transport raw materials to factories, where they will be transformed into intermediate resources and weapons.”

The authors of the strategy explained that players will not have any “global inventory,” so it is necessary to “strategically extract, process, and transport resources” to expand their base. It is also necessary to ensure the security of supply chains.

The creators of Powerplay said that the current version of the game will offer a single-player campaign of 10 missions, as well as 7 skirmish maps and a map editor. In the full 1.0 version, they want to introduce two asymmetrical factions (each will get its own campaign) and at least 20 skirmish maps, with editor improvements also planned.
